AHUA
Create a house-hold object combining natural elements with digital fabrication.

_edited.jpg)
I wanted to design a fruit bowl which explored fluidity in a solid form.
I created a whirl pool simulation in MAYA using a bowl form, water and wind force. I chose a frame to freeze the simulation and took the form into Meshmixer to be cleaned.
The bowl was 3D printed from wood filament. Because of it's intricacy I printed it in two halves. These were then glue together and the join was hidden with wood filler before the whole bowl was varnished,

CHROMAGRAPHICS
To create a design for future generations which holds cultural significance to oneself. Reviewing your past should have an influence on the design.

TORUS
A torus which has been 3D modelled parametrically. Each petal can be adjusted in size and quantity. Each variation gives the torus a new look and feel.
I experimented with multiple sizes, the larger size was easier to assemble due to the flexibility of the steel.
